Global polarization is characterized by the rise of social media and intolerance within communities.

http://Why Is India’s Media Polarized |Global polarization is characterized by the rise of social media and intolerance within communities.

The newspapers which used to be printed and sold earlier are now being printed after being sold

What is the compulsion of TV channels that we are not able to see the truth even if we want to

Many TV channels run only one series against BJP and Congress during elections

Today we say that news media has been sold

All the political parties in India have their own news media in today’s time

Generally we end the conversation by abusing the news anchors but these people are just employees who have nothing in their hands, the real game is something else about which there is never any talk

But today in this article we will talk about this thing

Mainly the information that we have is through newspapers, TV channels and news agencies

There are many other ways

Like radio, magazine, social media but the opinion of the country

It is made up of these three things

1. News Paper

2.News Tv Channel

3.News Agency

And political parties depend on these three things the most.

And most of all political parties depend on news agencies because the work of news agencies is to collect news from the whole country and the whole world and hence the companies running newspapers and news channels have to buy news from these news agencies. If someone wants to control the opinion of the whole country, then they will have to control the news agency, newspaper and TV channel.

If they want, these three can bring down the government, can bring it down or can even raise the government or they have the power to stand in opposition.

Because the common people themselves run through all these.

Because news media is the most important thing for any country, that is why it is called the fourth pillar of democracy.

The real opposition to the government is the media.

When our country became independent,

Mahatma Gandhi was running a newspaper by the name of India Opinion.

Jawaharlal Nehru was running a newspaper by the name of National Heral.

So that people could get information about the government. So that they can understand the reality that those who are living in poverty and are in the grip of slavery are not there because of their mistakes but because of the mistakes of the British, then all the people got united.

Like today, at that time also the newspapers were sold by the British.

What is the compulsion of these newspapers, news agencies and TV channels that they are not able to show the truth to you people even if they want to?

Talking about newspapers, the biggest newspaper of India is The Times of India and the most selling English newspaper of The Times of India is in the whole world.

The biggest customer of these newspapers and news channels is the government because the government runs the whole country.

In 2018, the government spent 7.8 billion euros in the name of public advertising in India.

So these are the reasons that whether it is news media or news agency or newspaper, it has completely become dependent on ads and that is why the newspapers which used to be printed and sold earlier are now being printed after being sold and not only this, when the elections are nearing So, to ensure that all news media reports correctly, the government increases the money they give for ads.

For example, when the 2019 elections were about to come near, the money that the print media used to get from government ads was directly increased by 25% and the money that TV channels used to get from ads was increased by the government by 11%.

And for the 2024 elections, the rates of news agencies and news channels have been increased again. What I am talking about is government ads. When elections are about to come near, the news media has both hands full with ghee and pan during elections.

These different individual parties get separate money for showing their flags and caps.

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has data that Congress and BJP are in the top 10 in spending money on ads. BJP is even ahead of Congress.

A lot has to be done to survive for this news channel. Suppose you join a news channel after studying and say that we will show the mirror of truth,

we will not do wrong reporting, then the next day you will be removed and someone else will be given the place.

Some people control the entire media and decide the opinion of the whole country because compared to the big industries, the media companies are very small. News media may earn thousands of crores but the compatibility is very small compared to the big industries.

The economic boom of 2007 and 2008 made other companies grow a lot but The business model of the news media companies was not that effective, so they were always under debt and this was the time when big politicians and big businessmen started buying these news media companies.Out of all the news channels in India, 1/3rd are either run by politicians or businessmen. These news channels are run by politicians or businessmen who are very closely linked to politicians.

Conclusion:- So this is the reason why India’s media is polarized. How did you feel after reading this article? Do let us know by commenting. Thank you.
